Dear reader,

This year there have been some changes in the RCPD - Radhadesh Congregatonal Preaching Department. After very nicely taking responsibility for the department for over 11 years, Malati devi dasi, in March, decided that she needed a change. Running such a huge department like the RCPD, as well as being part of the overall management of Radhadesh, combined with various other responsibilities that have come her way, has taken its toll over the years. Malati has therefore decided to take a one year sabbatical after which she will decide what direction to take next. We want to wholeheartedly thank her for her valuable service all these years and hope the sabbatical year will bring her the rest and recuperation she needs and we wish her all the best.

Under her expert and diligent guidance, there has been many huge developments in the RCPD department. Of course, now leaving, she has left us some very big shoes to fill!! To manage it all, we are presently working on a restructure of the department and the RCPD will work closely with the Radhadesh Management in order to maintain or improve on the services it has provided our members over the years. Our initial meetings were very fruitful in seeing how to proceed. One initial decision was to have a name change for the department. The formerly known RCPD will be replaced by ROSE - Radhadesh Outreach Services. As we all know, the world around us is changing all the time, faster and faster it seems. So inevitably we also need to change and evolve to adequately address the changing needs of our wider community. We are still in the process of assessing these needs of our wider community and our abilities to be her.

Radhadesh Rebuilds!

Radhadesh didn’t undergo only structural changes. Lots of work is also done in the castle.

New windows are placed in the temple room followed by a huge maha-clean up thanks to the help of many residents.

Also the side entrance was given a full refurbishment, together with the former bhakti shastri-room, which is now transformed into a cosy place where residents can take their prasadam if it is too cold outside.

Last but not least, some devotees are working very hard at making and painting of panels containing the Maha-Mantra. These will be places between the window styles in the temple room

Summer time help

During the summer period, June-September, Radhadesh is very busy. Besides the tourists, there are also events and courses, such as the kirtan course, the yoga teacher training, the summer festival, the Janmastami festival. In addition, our retreat center and restaurant are fully booked almost every weekend by groups that rent our facilities.

With so many visitors, some extra manpower is very welcome. We are therefore looking for people who want to help us this summer in our restaurant, our retreat center and our shop and sometimes also in the kitchen and / or garden.

We are looking for people who can speak English (knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage, but not necessary). Other requirements are: candidates must enjoy dealing with visitors, be able to perform 6 hours of physical activities per day, be able to work well in a team and be responsible. Unfortunately, we do not have facilities for married couples.

We offer a free stay and prasadam, the opportunity to follow our temple programs and deal with the many experienced devotees we expect to receive at Radhadesh this summer. Other conditions, benefits and needs can be discussed on an individual basis.

I WANT TO HELP!

Bezoek: Kadamba Kanana Swami

Heer Caitanya is daar.

Between May 22nd and 31st some very experienced devotees will visit Radhadesh, such as Krsna Ksetra Swami, Anuttama Dasa, Shaunaka Rsi Dasa, Madhu Sevita Dasa and Yadunandana Swami. They will also give the morning lectures. So if you have time, listen on RADHADESH.TV, or listen to the recordings afterwards.

Ointment is applied to the eyes, for clear vision. When the ointment of love of Godhead will be applied in our eyes, then with these eyes we shall be able to see God. God is not invisible. Simply like a man with cataract or any other eye disease, he cannot see. That does not mean the things are not existing. He cannot see. God is there, but because my eyes are not competent to see God, therefore I deny God. God is there, everywhere.
