The dam
The dam is subtly enlighted by night. It is long 116 meters and high 16 meters. The lake is equivalent to 3 millions cubic meters, supplied by the werstern Ourthe and by the eastern Ourthe. (water purification plant – hydroelectric plant – the waterfall is remarkably enlighted by night when the water level is rising – audio-visual hall) – free access.
A road and a foot, path lead to the lake which is a 47-hectare-huge pond (fishing, bath, kayak and boating).
There is an exceptional walk long 14 kilometers around the lake. Be careful! The difficulty level is middle or high. It takes 5 to 6 hours to make it and don’t forget to come with a flask with drinking water and a good map! even if the path is very well marked, we can never be sure !
